Surfing Near Sequit Point
The surf break at South Beach, known to surfers simply as "Leo Carrillo," is a fairly consistent right-hand cobblestone point/reef break that works best on mid to low tide on south swells. The wave at Leo Carrillo forms a narrow (crowded) take-off zone next to a large rock that works best most days on a longboard. Surfers often walk up North Beach to access "Heavens." On good days, Heavens produces a steep drop into long, hollow lefts and rights that can be a lot of fun.
